I am a solo artist. I play guitar, bass, keys, and sing. I hire musicians as I need them. I began working on my current release 2 years ago. Since I couldn't find an afforable drummer, I placed it on a shelf and concentrated on producing and distributing my compilation projects.
I bought a drum machine back in March, and have now gone back to work on my jamms. I would still rather have a live drummer. Anyway, this one should be a little more headbangish, but will still feature a few ballads. I've started placing a few demos at www.myspace.com/jessedelao, and other sites.
Since February, I have been going out to clubs to sing my songs on karaoke nights. My best responses have been at the 205 Club. The DJ is Bigg Robb. He plays some of the A.O.G. bands when the crowds are right.
I also got to sing during intermission for a local band, Julian J and Jar, at Fanelli's back in March. Progressive guitarist Jose' Diaz (Victoria, Tx.), did a couple of songs with me when I did a A.O.G. MEDIA showcase of Compilation Volume 7 at The Forum Club in mid-March. Jose' used to be in my BOIS D' ARK back in 1985. He is playing lead on DRESSED TO KILL and SLEEP WITH ME. You can find them at www.musictx.com/hotrock .
You will also find Jose's hot licks on my up coming release of DEATH ANGEL. Pop rock keyboardist Terry Daun (Chandler, Az.), adds his majic to WIZARD. Guitarist Darwin Shows (Splendora, Tx.) adds his licks to HARD TIMES.
